I love all the unique designs. The patterns have good notes and clear directions. My only complaint is the dark patterns are tough to read. I had a hard time seeing how many stitches I needed to work because there are no clear lines marking the stitches in the grid (see second photo above.) I have good vision, but I needed to put my nose up to the page to count the stitches in the pattern. I think this is something the publisher would need to fix.

Absolutely beautiful patterns and simply GORGEOUS photographs! I also like the little notes that show a personal connection to the designer. Every single project is worth knitting.

I first noticed Jenny from a Facebook knitting group and totally fell in love with the designs that she not only knitted but created the patterns for. I have bought a number of her patterns on Ravelry, and they are gorgeous and extremely well written. So when I found out she had put together a book, I couldn't wait for it to come out in the U.S. and quite frankly I am so impressed. I hope that she has many more books to come, because I will buy every one of them. <3

I just received my copy yesterday, so I haven't actually TRIED a pattern yet. But a few observations:1. All patterns are designed for a light weight yarn. (She does include information in the back for using different yarn from what she included in the book.)2. They are all designated "experienced". That being said, I think a person will be ok if they have experience knitting hats, mittens, or socks and with stranded/color knitting.3. For my taste, they are very pretty/fun patterns. I look forward to trying them.4. Good photos.

It’s not often I want to make almost every pattern in a knitting book. The patterns are a mix of beautiful and cute. The only issue is they are all fingering weight yarns. It will take some time to finish them.

This is a fun book for advanced beginners wanting to stretch out and explore stranded knitting. Intermediate knitters will have fun with the artwork of the Scandinavian expression of pattern work. charts help a great deal in achieving the look one is hoping for. Well written. Pictures are fun to look at and this is more than just a coffee table book..

So many mittens to make. I want to make them all...

Beautiful book with wonderful wintery pictures. Every pattern is for the experienced knitter. I at least have something to look forward to once I have much more experience. Very nice quality of paper used and is a hardback. Even if you are not experienced enough to make to items in the book it is so lovely I will put it out in my yarn room. I just may take a lesson or two to learn enough to try some of them.
