Professor Kahn, a Wharton professor and former director of the Jay H. Baker Retailing Center at Wharton, has written a clear analysis of the factors disrupting retail and created a strategic framework to use to quickly and efficiently evaluate retailers and how well they are navigating the current retail landscape. A good read for those involved in the retail industry.
Good discussion of retail in the current time.
Good review of leading and emerging omnichannel players; not good enough review of their business model and on how they link product and communication strategy across physical and digital channels
Interesting and incredible book
This book should be required reading for anyone looking to learn about the retail industry! Dr. Kahn’s Retail Matrix is the most clear blueprint for the future of retail that I’ve seen.
I recently saw Barbara Speak at a retail event where I picked up a copy of her book. The Shopping Revolution is full of extremely relevant case studies which paint a very strong and comprehensive picture of the current state of retail. After reading this book I felt like I had just returned from a journey inside the minds of the world's top retail executives and strategists.
Required reading for all consumers.I am a performing artist and yet I identified with this book.
